Merlewood House Wedding Sand Ceremony Kits
Merlewood House Unity Sand Ceremony Vessels are all individual, hand crafted, blown glass from the Teign Valley Glass studios in Devon. Each one made with the attention to detail only true craftsman invest in their art.
The flowing sand and blending of the colours in the Unity Sand Ceremony symbolizes the bringing together of two lives into one. Some couples prefer to leave a small amount of sand in their respective container to show that even though they now function as one, they remain individuals. The two sands symbolize everything that the bride and groom have been or will become in the future. The blending of the sand represents the union not only of them but their friends and families as well. The separate sands once poured into the unity vase can never be put back into their separate vases. They are forever entwined just as the lives and loves of the bride and groom.
You can choose your own colour sand, write your own words and perform the ceremony in any location. Invite a close friend or member of the family to officiate the ceremony for you if you prefer. It’s also the perfect way to include children from previous relationships by allowing them to select their own colour sand to blend in the vessel.
Everything you need to carry out your Sand Ceremony is included in the set, including instructions and sample scripts.
The ceremony can be extended to include children of the bride and groom to involve them in this special day and unite two families.
